I love this photo. It made me laugh. The expressions on their faces, and the garlic and onions. My first thought was vampires too. The man on the inside looks like he's thinking, "How in the samhill did I get myself into this?" Great shot.

Normally people are all about getting the exposures right in a photo. This one works, despite the fact that it's overexposed in some areas and underexposed in other areas. Actually, it probably works because of that. I really, really like it- and seems like a throwback to a different era of photography.

The man in the jailbird stripes must have a secret fear of vampires and is trying to disguise his phobia by also wearing onions (unless onions provide protection from another baddy that I don't know about).

I'd love to talk to these two folks! Such interesting lives they've probably led!! But I have to ask: why is the one man wearing the onions & garlic? :)

nice study in black and white. the basket balances the picture and keeps it from being too heavy on the left, too light on the right.
North Norfolk?
Was this taken on the North Norfolk Railway by any chance?
Curious...I have to ask!
