Generally, I'm very level headed, but a friend was watching a show with you in it & I felt like I had been hit by lightning when I saw you. In another world or time, I'd stay it meant something. But in this one, knowing you are famous & thus inaccessible to normal folk, just know, you have a fan. A nice normal one, not to worry.
Also, from a photographer point of view, love your work. Thank you for sharing it with the world. :)

Hey, Paul, I'm a huge fan of your work as an actor, loved you in "The Dresden Files" and "Lipstick Jungle", and have always thought you're the most handsome man I've ever seen. I just love your smile! So, so beautiful and adorable! :-) And I've always wanted to write to you and ask you a silly little question, but felt embarrassed to do it. But I've worked up my courage now! I was wondering if you're ticklish and, if so, where? Lots of love and regards from Bulgaria,

I recently started reading the Dresden Files paperback series, and THEN my daughter told me it was -- well, had been -- a TV series on SyFy, so I bought the Season One collection. Great series: very good writing; very good production; excellent acting all around. I thought that you, Paul, captured the character portrayed in the books really, really well. Thanks for all of your effort at thoughtful and accurate character development.
It's really mysterious to me that some shows of such superior quality don't "catch on" with the viewing public when lots of really trite, uninteresting stuff does. This series was decidedly worth continuing for several seasons, at least.

It's good to see Paul back in a series (The Gates), and I hope his character sticks around a while. I haven't seen all of his onscreen work since The Dresden Files, but have caught him in a few shows, and he's done well with each character (some very good bad guys). Cheers, and good health to you Paul.

Dear Paul,
I recently met you at a screening of your documentary on post-election America. I'm interested in writing an article about the film but am having a hard time finding information about the film online. I'm wondering if you could email me at the email address provided so that I could send you some brief questions. I mostly just wanted to clarify the names of some of the people involved in the project, the dates filmed, etc. so I don't get this information wrong.
I really enjoyed the documentary by the way and was very moved by a number of the interviews. Thanks so much for your help!

I love to read and write a little poetry, do not watch TV so I am sorry to say that I have not seen a lot of your work in the acting field. After reading the so far 12 books in Jim Butchers Harry Dresden series, I became quiet attached to the character of Harry Dresden and his brother Thomas, and while googling information on Jim Butcher and other books he had written I found out about the TV series The Dresden Files. I went out and bought the series and was also extremely excited when I found out how both you and the writers kept the character of Dresden so close to the character in the book. Now here I am googling your page here. Your pictures are amazing so many stories in each one. I would love to know if you have also write of your exploits in travel as it looks like you have seen such amazing sights and met extraordinary people. Ok I do not normally write in these sorts of things so I have waffled on long enough. Good luck with all your endeavors.

I just finished watching the Dresden Files for the second time ( I watched it originally when it was on Sci-Fi) and I enjoyed it so much once again. Why Sci-Fi cancels shows like Dresden Files before it's time and keeps shows like Flash Gordon for 21 episodes, I have never understood. After I first watched the pilot episode of Dresden Files for the first time, I thought that you were the perfect choice for Harry Dresden based on the character from the books. I guess one can always hope for a movie in the future or even better yet a second series. I looked at your photography on your website and think that you have a great eye and prespective. I appreciate all of your acting work and you will always have a fan in me.

So I know you don't hear this enough, but my family and I were first introduced to you through the Dresden Files and quickly became a household icon. Although sadly the Dresden Files are no longer with us (curse you to hades SciFi channel!!), the house (and I DO mean HOUSE) is on constant alert for your appearances. Burn Notice, Leverage, Monk, and most recently a rerun of Medium - they've all elicited bursts of "Hey!! It's DRESDEN!!!"
In any case, you have earned the watchful eye of all in the house, and we wish you the best of luck in everything you do (quite frankly I couldn't have imagined and am amazed at the range of your talents!)
Hopefully we'll run into you if you're ever back in Portland filming! BTW, how would one get an autograph from you?

Congrats on all of your accomplishments and I hope to see you more of you on the small or large screens! I guess I will have to start watching "Burn Notice" now.

My teenage daughter and I watched the Dresden Files when they first came to television. Tonight we started talking about shows we missed. We were so sad when it was not renewed. Then, we decided to look you up and see what you were doing. You are an amazing individual and didn't realize that some actors have such depth to their personalities. We the viewing population often forget that actors are real people. Thank you for sharing your life with the rest of us. I am a teacher and I will share this with students I work with.

Mr. Blackthorne,
I thought this show was one of the highest quality programs that SciFi had ever aired. It had a great plot, acting was wholly believable, the chemistry between the characters was top notch, and the writing was spot on. It's a show I'll miss.

In the past few months a friend turned me on to the Dresden Files books, which I LOVE. Then I found out that a short series was done on Sci-Fi and I bought the DVD because I had to see who could play my hero, Harry, with the right amount of humor, sensitivity, power, & pathos. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that PB covers all those qualities so well (even though the books were chopped into nice little 45-minutes segments for TV.) Why the studios didn't pick up on his extraordinary talent and make him the "Twilight"-type heart-throb for my generation I will never know!
It is also nice to know that he is a generous man with interests outside the Hollywood scene. He doesn't seem to let the job description "actor" define him. How refreshing in this day & age! You have a new fan PB!

Thank you for sharing your visions of the world - for someone who has been grounded and given only a tiny corner from which to view the infinite... well, it has been a great source of inspiration. Namaste
Blackthorne "Hide and Seek"
Cheers Mate,
James
Thanks
Well, I knew I had seen you before and after just finishing "The Dresden Files" on Hulu I had to see what else you were in. (BTW great show TDF was sorry I missed it originally and will definitely miss more seasons.) Then found you were one of the bad guys on 24, that was it. I found you were a photographer too. Congrats on all of your accomplishments and I hope to see you more of you on the small or large screens! I guess I will have to start watching "Burn Notice" now.
Paul and your diverse personality
My teenage daughter and I watched the Dresden Files when they first came to television. Tonight we started talking about shows we missed. We were so sad when it was not renewed. Then, we decided to look you up and see what you were doing. You are an amazing individual and didn't realize that some actors have such depth to their personalities. We the viewing population often forget that actors are real people. Thank you for sharing your life with the rest of us. I am a teacher and I will share this with students I work with.
Hi Paul!
The Brazilian fans await your visit!
You're a great actor and very beautiful too. Congratulations.
Dresden Files
Great tv show. Love to see a Dresden Files movie.
The Dresden Files!
First I would like to say that you rock! Second I think we need to find a way to get The Dresden Files back on TV I loved that show.....I watched it every week....They way the just cut it off like that pissed me off! I would like to get a petition going if that is alright with you Mr.Blackthorne. I figured it would be more accurate to ask than just do it!
I'll sign. I loved The
I'll sign. I loved The Dresden Files.

The Dresden Files
Mr. Blackthorne,
I thought this show was one of the highest quality programs that SciFi had ever aired. It had a great plot, acting was wholly believable, the chemistry between the characters was top notch, and the writing was spot on. It's a show I'll miss.
Thanks,
Pete
Loved you in the Dresden
Loved you in the Dresden Files. Hard to believe it has been three years ago today when it aired. Hope to see you in more movies/tv shows.
Harry Dresden
Hey Paul
I think I saw you tonight at Lincoln Center...it was a pleasure.
Thank You
Thank you for sharing your talents with the world. Your contribution has brightened the world by showing art as a true artform. Wish you the warmest of holidays.
Big Shots, 24, Lipstick Jungle and Dresden Files
You are so talented actor! Not to mention your good looks, height and beautiful British accent!
I first started watching you in 24, then here in Finland followed Big Shots. Unfortunately Big Shots ended too soon. Now there's only one Lipstick Jungle episode left but luckily Dresden Files will start on December! Lucky me and Finnish ladies!
All the best for you!
Päivi

A story inspired by Paul Watson
Hi Paul,
Thought you might want to read a short story (now a novel) about a penguin researcher and an anti-whaling activist: http://www.globalbydesign.com/the-tourist-trail/
