A family well fed.

When I saw this picture I thought, "His family ate well that day." It is amazing how we have forgotten that there are still places where people literally have to hunt for their food. What an easy life we have, when we want meat we just take a trip to the grocery store or butcher shop and pick out what we want from a case. We give little thought to the fact that the piece of meat we choose was once part of a larger animal.

Few of us can know or understand the satisfaction the man in the photo must have felt knowing that he was able to provide meat for his family.

I can't help but wonder if we haven't become too far removed from the past and what our forefathers needed to do to survive.
